Nepal is known for the mountaineering in the world because of having 8 out of 14 the highest peaks of the world. Mountaineering Expedition means an act of expedition to any peaks of mountain range with the intention of reaching to the summit. There are 1310 identified Himalayan peaks in Nepal and 326 peaks have been opened for mountaineering in Nepal.

Mountaineering Expedition is similar to the challenging treks, however needs the basic mountaineering knowledge such as using ice axe, crampons ropes and necessary climbing gears under the supervision and instruction from the climbing leader/guide as well as psychological and physical stamina plus prior experience is certainly an advantage, but not essential.
