Langtang, Gosainkund and Helambu are the three major areas of Langtang Region. Helambu is situated 75 km. north east of Kathmandu. The Helambu Trekking is easy and provides the spectacular and scenic views of the Mt. Langtang (7245m), Ganesh Himal (7405m), Dorje Lhakpa (6990m) and other small mountains of Langtang Himalayan range. Tamang with Sherpa people predominantly inhabit in the higher villages, particularly Melamchi Gaon, Tarkegyang and Sermathang. Helambu Trek covers the diverse range of brilliant green valleys, misty rhododendron forests, and distant horizons of snowy peaks and the vivid contrast of Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist cultures. Day 06 - Trek to Melamchi. Drive to Kathmandu.
